So Many Pieces

The other night Kai’s computer went out. Something to do with the fan on a bridge, or something? His computer was in SO many pieces today. Well luckily he used the gift card his dad gave him for Newegg and ordered some pieces to fix mine. They were supposed to arrive today, so every time he heard an kind of truck he was going to the window and checking to see if it was the Newegg package. Well it finally arrived this evening and Kai already has my(eventually) computer fixed up. It runs beautifully. :O It’s amazing. And it has Windows 7! I’m excited. Eventually he’ll be able to fix his computer. Probably not until Christmas/Birthday if he gets lucky and gets another gift card. We’ll see. If not then he’s out of luck for a long time.

My mom had a sore throat yesterday. Today I woke up with a sore throat, ear ache, stomach ache, migraine and generally feeling sick. Ugh. I feel really sick right now. I’ve been sipping on tea and raw honey. It’s been helping my throat. Valentine’s Day is coming up pretty quick. What do you all have planned? I don’t think Kai and I will be able to do anything but that’s okay. There’s always next year hopefully. I had hoped we’d have a little money to get something, maybe some personalized gifts. Doesn’t look like that will be happening though. I had other things in mind as well… >.> I’ve been hearing lots of good things about Eden Fantasys and wanted to browse around. But I think I’ll wait until I can actually get something. :D

Boo Money

Well, Kai took the bus to work this morning, and shall be taking it to and from work for the next couple of weeks possibly longer. The tags on the car expired yesterday, we don’t have the money to do a smog check and get the tags. The insurance policy expires on the 16th. Apparently they gave my mom a 30 day grace period. Ugh. Hopefully we can find insurance cheap enough. :/ On a side note, Sascha is going out to Michigan for the summer. His grandparents(Sue and Tom) offered to pay for his trip out so he could attend a tutoring program at the university by them. I’m happy and excited for him, and so grateful to Sue and Tom. This will really help Sascha. :) Next school year he’s going into one of the local schools by us. So that’ll be an interesting change for him.

Another side note, so many people I know have laptops that are going to the way side. I keep seeing more and more people with netbooks to tide them over. They’re so tiny and cute. :)

Review: African Black Soap & Lotion

Over the past year I’ve seen random people talk about this soap. I never paid much attention until a few months ago when I read about someone using it for their severe acne/blackheads/etc. The soap is from Shea Moisture, it’s called African Black Soap. It’s made from palm ash, tamarind extract, tar and plantain peel. This soap has apparently been used for quite some time in Africa to treat eczema, acne, oily skin, psoriasis, and other skin ailments. While it looks strange, it smells beautiful and works extremely well. My skin has never felt more clean, and I don’t think it’s ever been this soft. I’ve actually been using it for shampoo as well. It’s worked so well on my skin without drying it out that I started using it on Fumiko. She loves the smell. Soon as she’s out of the bath she’s hunting down the lotion. The soap though is great. I get acne breakouts frequently and generally for two weeks straight before/during/after my period is when it’s the worst. I used the soap during my last period and found that my acne wasn’t nearly as bad has it has been previously. My skin has pretty much stopped breaking out when I’m not on my period, and the blackheads are disappearing completely. Hooray for clearpores!

I have combination skin I guess. My cheeks get super dry to the point of actually hurting, but my nose and forehead tend to get oily as the day progresses. When I purchased this soap I got it as a packaged set with the lotion. Let me say, I *love* the lotion. It’s thick and luxurious, but not oily. It only takes a tiny, tiny amount for your face, and it’s amazing all over your body. Fumiko loves this stuff. Previously she’d only let me use my Black Raspberry Vanilla lotion on her, but this she loves. It doesn’t make my face oily at all, which is great because I usually have problems with my nose/forehead being extremely oily after using lotion. I feel as though this soap/lotion combination has actually helped improve my skin. I definitely recommend this to anyone who has any kind of skin issues. Oh and it works great as a shampoo! :)

Blah

You hope that life won’t throw you many curve balls, and when it does you think to yourself that it can’t get worse right? Wrong, it does. There’s always a solution but sometimes it just seems hopeless. I think I’ve hit that point. Or at least I’m pretty darn close. I’ve been tying to look up insurance quotes(insurance is almost up, or up I’m not quite sure). But none of the websites will let me. Being married they expect my spouse to have a license, so I can’t continue with quotes without entering his info. Ugh. Gonna have to call. I hate calling. It’s not even hate, it just sends me into a panic. Ergh. I looked up Trimet info tonight for bus trips. It’s $86 for the month for one adult pass. Which isn’t bad. It’s a fraction of the cost of gas. We might have to do that for awhile. Driving without insurance is not an option. We just don’t have the money for a down payment, or monthly payments. Wtb a miracle please. <3 Thanks!

Seriously, when it rains, it pours. It pours hard. :(

Earning Money

I’m in desperate need of recommendations for making money online. I don’t want to go into detail. But we can barely pay and bills let alone buy groceries. :/ If anyone has any recommendations I’d really appreciate it. I’m at a loss and have no idea what to do.

Hello There

So we’re back home. Glad to be home but at the same time we wish we were still in California. :( We had a really nice time. We got to see family and friends. We stayed with my dad and step mom until Thanksgiving day, then we drove to Vallejo dropped our stuff off at Jamie’s and then headed to Ken and Karen’s. We spent the rest of the trip visiting family and friends. We went to Apple Hill on Saturday. The kids had a lot of fun. I got my pumpkin fudge. Mmmm.

Fumiko and her great grandma Fumiko
Fumiko and her Great Grandma Fumiko. :D Sorry it’s blurry. I forgot my camera. >.<

We got to see Clan Tata too. We headed to Cliche’s house and played the new mario game on the Wii and then went out to dinner with Tieria/Kinon/Cliche/Bismol and Sam. :D Was awesome! Before we left we also visited Kinon at his apartment and ate yummy chinese food with Tieria/Sam/Bismol and Kinon, and then played a um board game. Also Fumiko broke one of Kinon’s plates. >.>

Lots of stuff happened and I need more time to type it all out. But we had lots of fun and miss everyone already. :( We has lots to do too. Must take a look at office furniture since Kai’s chair mysteriously broke while we were gone. o.O And some of our dishes mysteriously disappeared. Seriously. My mom has no idea what happened to them. Oh also friends of my mom took Kiyoshi and Eevee home and then some other friends took Puff. So we are pet less. :( We miss them, but they went to good homes.

Coming Soon!

A new post! >.> A long, long, long, long post shall be coming soon. Or multiple. Who knows. I’m not sure if I’ll do it before we head home or if I’ll do it after. We’re still in California, obviously. :p

We’ve had a nice time to far. We stayed with my dad and step mom for a few days and have been at Jamie’s since Thanksgiving day. We’ll be heading home Saturday the 5th so Kai can have a day to wind down before he heads back to work.

It’s been so nice here. The weather has been great and it’s been wonderful to see the families. I know Kai has really missed everyone and has so enjoyed seeing them after three years. But it’s time for a shower and bed. It’s late and I am tired. :)
