DIY: Lip Scrub
1 tablespoon raw honey
turbinado sugar1
Optional:
grapeseed oil
lemon juice
I mix and keep my lip scrub in a small canning jar. Basically you want to put a tablespoon of raw honey into a jar that you can seal. I don’t have the exact amount of sugar I add, but add a little bit of sugar at a time and mix it into the honey. I think it comes out to be about half raw honey, half sugar. To use, you just take a little bit of the mixture and rub it into your lips. I let it sit for a few minutes before I clean it off. It sloughs off the dead/dry skin and also helps nourish your lips. It’s simple and quick to do. If you like, you can also add a few drops of lemon juice and/or grapeseed oil to the scrub. I ran out of my grapeseed oil, so I didn’t add any.
Also you’ll have to forgive my red skin in the photos below. I’ve been trying witch hazel and it’s causing my skin to be really dry and irritated. So no more witch hazel.
