I run this blog! This blog is a personal blog for all things beauty related. I love swatching, reviewing and hosting giveaways. I’ve been blogging since I was 16 years old… That’s uh a long time. I am now 33! Sometimes I like to blog about my life and what is going on, but not often anymore. I hope you enjoy my blog posts!
I am officially sucked in. I was hooked before 10 minutes of the show had passed. I’m a sucker for witches. What can I say? I can’t wait for next Thursday to arrive. THE SUSPENSE! I am now going to bed. Goodnight. Also *squee*
So I think it’s funny that two of my most favorite companies are run by Andrea and Andrea of My Pretty Zombie and Evil Shades Cosmetics… I sense a theme here. Then there is Susan from Darling Girl who is like the polar opposite of both of them! Tee hee!

Thanks to @BeccasOnTweeter and @karmicdreaming I learned how to make my own laundry soap and it’s freaking awesome! My clothes have never been so soft. They’re completely unscented, which Kai loves, I however will be ordering some fragrance oils that I can use for my laundry. I’m also going to be picking up about 6-121 wool dryer balls to replace dryer sheets. They cut down on drying time and get rid of static AND you can add a drop or two of fragrance oil or essential oil to them to scent your laundry. You have no idea how happy I am! If my foot weren’t broken I would be jumping up and down giggling like a nut!
Which reminds me. I did indeed break my foot. One of the bones, I can’t remember if she said 2nd or 3rd from the left has a hairline fracture. She did say the x-ray dude said it looked like it was starting to knit/heal up. So yay. It still hurts like a mofo though. I also made a roast and veggies in the crockpot tonight. This week is crockpot meal week! In fact I feel like doing nothing but crockpot meals for all of autumn. Anyone have any yummy recipes? This week I’m doing the roast and veggies, meatloaf and pork chops in the crockpot. I shall also make garlic mashed potatoes to go with the pork chops.
I received my @OHWTO order today and omg the smellies! They are AMAZING. I loves them all. I also got my beautiful amazing magical black magic soap that is glycerin free. I cut that sucker up into 8 small pieces so it would last longer in the shower. I also got the 2oz. liquid version for Kai since he is acne prone, and the Rose Flower Balm that will hopefully help with hive breakouts and my awful rough feets. :( I also got smellies in Passiflora and Raspberry Ginger Ale, and samples in Fresh Snow2, Rose Lemonade3, Honey Blossom, and 3 sooooper seeeekrit smellies that smell divineeeeee. Now I shall leave you to drool over the yummyness above.
So uh this post is several months overdue, I kept forgetting about the draft. Oops. Anyways. This was my first order from One Hand Washes the Other(OHWTO). I ordered a sample of the Black Magic Soap which everyone has been raving about and three solid scents; Coven, Pink Lady and Frankincense & Mirth. I have to be honest here I ordered the soap knowing damn well it has glycerin in it, but wanted to try anyways. Unfortunately after the third use my face broke out in a rash and horrible hives. Poop stick. Fortunately Becca being the awesomely awesome person that she is made a glycerin free Black Magic Soap which I happened to get in the mail today and will be posting about later!
Onto the scents. I loved Pink Lady, liked Frankincense & Mirth and didn’t really like Coven. Coven smelled too much like sweet baked goods to me, while that’s not a bad scent, it’s not a scent I like all that much. My mom however loved the scent! Becca really goes the extra mile when it comes to packaging. You can tell she really cares about her customers and loves what she is doing. My solid scents came in a nice little organza bag, and the sample soap was wrapped up and inside a plastic baggie. Then there is the awesome little wax sealed envelope. I can’t tell you how much I LOVE that she uses wax seals on them. It makes me smile every time I think about it. On the front of the envelope is a neat little stamp.
I had to open the envelope very carefully because I didn’t want to destroy the awesome was seal(seriously I need some of these I want to send people stuff sealed with a wax stamp!). Inside was a couple of sample pods, a business card and my invoice with a hand written note. See? Freaking awesome! I can say there are a handful of companies who really put effort into their packaging like this, and Becca is one of the best. It’s not required but it’s so refreshing to see and it definitely puts a smile on your face! :D
Anyways onto the pictures! While I am sad the Black Magic Soap didn’t work, I kind of figured it wouldn’t, but am super happy that Becca took the initiative to make a soap formula that I can use! *gives giant squishie hugs to Becca*
If you like this post do me a favor and like it up there on the top right!
I took these almost two weeks ago and am just now getting them up. Concrete Minerals highlights in Frost, White Rabbit, Rocked and Prude. Over Concrete Minerals Electric Eye Primer. :D Enjoy. All four of these colors are awesome. Can be applied sheer if need be and quickly built up.
Wetnwild sent me some items to review at the end of June including ColorIcon Trio in I Dream of Greenie #331. I’ve been a fan of wetnwild products since I was a little girl and I’m super glad to see that they’ve prospered over the years and still make great makeup, that costs very little. While I’m not a huge fan of green eyeshadow, I’m not really sure why, it’s just not something I go for most of the time when I’m looking for shadow, this trio is great. The colors are beautiful and pigmented and they applied great. I’ve found that once in awhile I’ll find a shade or two in a trio that just doesn’t want to budge, but these were all soft and went on really well.
I really like the browbone shade, it’s a beautiful green that is semi sheer and can be built up if needed, but it looks beautiful on the inner corner of the eye as well as below the brow. Overall all of the colors were soft and applied like a dream and the eyelid/crease shades were well pigmented. My only issue is with the brushes/sponges that they include. The brushes with these are often kind of mangled looking and loose their hairs. There is nothing per-say wrong with the sponges, I just don’t like them. I don’t like the way the shadows apply with them. So that’s my 2 cents on the brushes. Anyways! If you love green this is a great trio for you. These retail for $2.99 so you can’t beat the price!
