Typically, Matcha is the only tea variety that is ground into a fine powder form for a reason. When healthily drinking Matcha or enjoying a food or beverage made from Matcha – you consume the entire tea leaf. This is the primary difference between Matcha and all other tea. Normally black tea or other green teas are consumed via steeping the tea leaves infused with hot water.
Most importantly, Matcha drinkers receive the full nutrition benefits of the whole tea leaf and will enjoy the high concentration of green tea antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, minerals and fiber.
Matcha is extremely rich in 3 very important nutrients that are of high interest for healthier lifestyle living: Insoluble Fibers, Antioxidants, and L-Theanines.
Each 100g (3.5oz) bag is good for a number of recipes.
Heat fresh filtered water just short of boiling. Add 1 teaspoon of 100% organic Matcha green powder to 8 oz. bowl/cup and pour in heater water. Whisk the tea using a PaleoCrazy tea whisk for about 1-2 minutes approx. until the Matcha powder forms into a nice green colored foam, ready to drink. Do not strain any small or tiny Matcha powder particles.
The Matcha powder comes in a resealable silver foil packet with a front and back label. Label has product and company information on it.
Scent and formula
This smells like regular matcha powder. It’s very fine and bright green in color.
Organic green tea powder.
This is very flavorful but not as smooth as other matcha powders I’ve tried. It’s a little bit bitter. I have used this in smoothies as well as a tea and it’s a nice quality. I do notice a little spike in energy not long after I drink it which is nice. I don’t have a matcha whisk so when I make this as a tea I throw my hot water and powder into the blender to make sure it’s not chunky and gets a little frothy. It makes a nice dark green tea.
