Official description
The derma roller is a hand-held device which has the ability to naturally stimulate collagen and elastin in the skin to promote healthier skin cells. Using the dermaroller to renew your skin cells regularily, you will be able to treat common problems such as wrinkles, skin hyperpigmentation, scars (including acne scars), uneven skin, stretch marks and even hair loss.

Where to buy
From Derma Roller System – You get a derma roller in selected needle mm for $99.95 USD. They are currently on sale for $49.95 USD.

Directions
For the face
Preparation:

Before you begin using the Derma Roller System, wash and dry your hands and the area to be treated with soap and water thoroughly. Clean your treatment table with disinfectant and then prepare the following items:

– Derma Roller System with needle lengths of 0.5mm or 1.0mm (included)
– Peptide Mask (available at your local pharmacy)
– Clean towel
– Sunscreen/Sunblock
– Half a glass of disinfectant: rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide (only – required once per week/treatment)

How To Apply:
1.Roll the Derma Roller gently over the area you wish to treat 4 times vertically, 4 times horizontally, 4 times diagonally to the left and 4 times diagonally to the right (as illustrated below). This is more than enough to stimulate collagen and elastin formation in the skin. Avoid using the Derma Roller on your eyelids or lips.
2.Place one sheet of Peptide Mask on your face and leave the mask on for 10 minutes.
3.Daytime Treatment Only – If you are using the Derma Roller System in the daytime, apply sun protective cream onto the face and neck after removing the Peptide Mask.
4.Treat only once per day, up to 5 times per week when using the Derma Roller System in 0.5mm. Treat only once every 3 to 4 weeks when using the Derma Roller System in 1.0mm.

Care of your Derma Roller
After you have finished using your Derma Roller, rinse the device under hot water. You will need to disinfect your Derma Roller once a week by standing it head first in half a glass of disinfectant (rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide) for approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour (no longer). Then, remove the Derma Roller from the cup and shake off any excess liquid. Place the Derma Roller on its side on a clean towel to dry. When it is completely dry, store the Derma Roller back into the original case provided. Try to keep the case as clean as possible and stored in somewhere safe.

Packaging
The Derma Roller comes packaged in a cardboard box with product information and company information. The Derma Roller is housed in a clear acrylic case that holds it when it’s not in use. The derma roller is plastic and tan and has golden needles on the rolling head. The acrylic case has a sticker on it that says what the mm of the needles are.

I have been using this Derma Roller from Derma Roller System for a few weeks now. I use it on my scalp and face a few times a week. More than that and my skin gets too tinder. When I use this on my face it gets red and I can see tiny dots across where I’ve rolled for a little while after use. This gives an odd sensation when you roll it across the skin, but it’s not painful. On my face I have noticed that my acne scars appear lighter, pores appear smaller, skin feels taught and my skin just looks a little better in general. I haven’t noticed much difference in my hair, but I also don’t have the recommended Minoxidil to apply either. Hopefully I will be able to get some in the next month or so and then I can report back on how that makes a difference! I do not have wrinkles so I can’t tell you how this works with those. The feel of this going across the skin isn’t painful, it feels a little odd but not painful. I do have to note that one of the needles on my Derma Roller came bent, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference in how it works or feels. Since this isn’t painful and it’s easy to use I will definitely continue to use it. I feel that it also helps my skincare products absorb better into my skin. I don’t think 3 weeks is really enough time to get great results, but I think it will be worth continuing.
