One more day for the raffles!

So after hearing back from the owner we have to have the money tomorrow instead of on the first. So while the raffle will continue until the first, tomorrow is our deadline for rent. :) We’re only about $160 short at this point. I’m hoping we can meet that by tomorrow when I have to get the money order. I want to say thank you to everyone who has donated money, and everyone who has taken part in the raffle, and especially THANK YOU to everyone who donated items to the raffle. I sincerely appreciate your help and generosity.

With that being said if you haven’t entered for the raffles and you want to you can by clicking here.

I started making my earrings as well. There are a couple of pairs up on etsy. Caitlin from Shiro Cosmetics bought a pair of my moonstone earrings, so I put that money back into earring supplies and will have alexandrite earrings at some point as well as some more rainbow moonstone and peridot earrings. :D

Light at the End of the Tunnel

So awhile ago my mom and I talked about me taking her healing lotion formula and redoing it and selling it on Etsy. I’ve been thinking about it for awhile. It’s something I really wanted to do, but I couldn’t think of the right name, or the right packaging. Well last night that all came to me. I couldn’t get to sleep because things were just running around in my head and I kept seeing products with labels and names. They were perfect for what I want to do. I told my mom earlier today and she liked it. She really liked it. So today I’ve been looking up wholesale bottling companies lotion/balm/toner bases and other things. I actually found the frosted glass jars that I had in my head. I’m SO happy! Now all I have to do is test things and make labels. I think the label part is going to be the long and tedious step for me.

I’m so excited! This is going to be so awesome! Eeee! I have to talk to Kharizma too. She knows about this stuff. So I need to talk to her and see what she reccommends. I’ve found some basic natural base recipes, but I want to tweak them and change the oils and such used. So I need to see if she can help me with that or direct me somewhere. :) Some of the things I’m going to do are lip balms, and bath bombs besides the healing stuff. There’s going to be an herbal lotion/balm for muscle pain and such, an acne spray and toner and a few other things. I’ve got to get back to teaching Sascha. BREAK OVER! But I just had to get it out somewhere. I’m excited! Woot!

10 Things You Might Like From Etsy!

Golden Leaves w/Prehnite First up are these very pretty earrings! Beautiful matte finished 16K gold plated branches with five leaves – measuring 18mm x 39mm hang from gold filled earwires. Luminous soft green faceted flat prehnite briolettes (8mm) wrapped in 14k gold filled wire hangs from the bottom leaf. These earrings are so amazingly lovely and light. They measure over two inches in total length.

White Octopus Tie Next we have this lovely(okay I think it’s cute) Octopus tie! Yes, I think they are cute, right along with squids! Perfect for the man in your life, or anyone else who likes unique ties. :) This tie is printed with an image of half of an octopus. The more attractive half. This octopus is quite shy. The tie is made of a silky microfiber, and is hand printed with high-quality, non-toxic ink. Standard size tie. All new materials. Tie is shiny white, ink is black. Logo printed on reverse side of tie.

Clematis Forest Eyeglass Case I seriously love this case for glasses. . . Eventually I’ll actually purchase it. But for now I leave it for you to drool over. It’s made from cotton, inside and out. It’s super fun and totally cute. The girl who makes this also has more in other patterns that are just as neat. :) This would be an awesome gift for anyone who ends up losing their glasses or sunglasses all the time. >.>

Himalayan Salt I love Himalayan Salt, for so many reasons, but I truly think it tastes better than any other salt. Normally I buy another brand, but this is good salt for a very, very good price. This sale is for one 5 ounce bag of Himalayan Fine Grain Salt Bath Soak which is also food grade, so you can use in in your favorite recipes! Himalayan salt actually comes from the heart of the Himalayan Mountains formed over the last 250 million years. It is said to be the purest salt in the world – virtually untouched by any pollutants and toxins. Reported to contain 84 naturally occurring trace minerals for therapeutic healing of the body. Awesome salt here!

Market Bag in Rosewood Cord Gosh I’ve had my eye on this bag, for well ever now. I love it in red. It’s one of the things high on my wish list. he material is a corded canvas lined in red ripstop cordura (which is pretty awesome and durable!) The interior has 3 pouch pockets (each 6″x7″), one large zipper pocket (14″x7″) and 2 d-rings for keys and phones and pouches. It’s a pretty big bag for big pretty things (laptops, books, chunky scarves, ipods, kid stuff). You’ll love the carefully stitched seams, the durable material and the understated styling, it’s what makes Moop bags so great. The adjustable strap gives quite a bit of variation in length – making it easier to wear across your chest (messenger style) or on your shoulder (purse style). Approx. Dimensions: 13” across the top, 14” deep, 19” across the bottom. Strap varies from approx. 33″ (end to end) when fully extended to approx. 17″ (end to end) at it’s shortest length.

Sea Glass & Snail AnkletI think sea glass is so pretty. I always have. That coupled with a snail makes this anklet and instant win. This is a 10″ ankle bracelet with an genuine teal seaglass drop (9mm x 16mm) and a sterling silver nautilus seashell (11mm) on an oval chain with a lobster clasp.

Rainy Day Cloud Earrings
A perfect compliment to these April Showers days…
Fluffy shaped clouds are cut from sterling silver sheet & dotted with a little blue glass briolette. The brio perfectly matches a little drop of rain and dangles off the bottom of the cloud. Hung from balled sterling silver earwires. Earrings will measure about 1.25″ (3cm) long

Sweet Pea Necklace
I actually adore this necklace. I think it would be a lovely gift for Fumiko when she enters her teenage years. Sweet pea is something we often call her. :) A combination of elements come together to create this Sweet Pea Necklace. Copper sheet has been cut, filed, drilled, stamped with the word “SWEET”, hammered, patinaed, and shaped to form a pea pod. A variety of green shell pearls are strung to form the peas. The necklace is adorned with a handmade copper spiral and a Swarovski crystal dangle. The 1+1/2″ pea pendant is hung on an 18″ antiqued copper flattened cable chain.

Okay, this robot tie? Hawt! It’s freaking cute! Any boy should be proud to wear this, especially when his awesome significant other gives it to him. ;) beep beep says the robot! Reclaimed silk necktie tie that has been appliquéd with brown vinyl robot and a gold glitter vinyl heart. Standard adult tie length and 3.5 inches wide at widest part.

Transformer Tie Yes, I know… Another tie. But it’s awesome! I mean come on, it comes complete with crows and bunnies! This tie is a must have. These birds are conspiring to do something. What? We’re not quite sure. The electric pole has come alive and it’s root-like, cord plugs are about to grab anything is it’s path. Original illustration, black ink on sage green. The tie is made of a soft microfiber, having almost the same hand as real silk and is printed with high-quality, non-toxic, waterbased ink. The tie is 3.75″ wide at it’s widest point and 58″ long – standard length and width. All new materials!

That’s 10 right? Gosh I love Etsy.
