So I was sent this foundation to try from Influenster and Maybelline. I’ve been using it for awhile. Unfortunately my skin decided to revolt against me right as I got this. I stopped my Depo shot and my is paying the price. My face broke out in bad acne but it wasn’t from the foundation. The areas of my face not covered in mountain-ess acne did well with this foundation. It wasn’t quite light enough for me but I was able to use. I use a damp makeup sponge to apply it and it works quite well. The coverage is nice, it did cover my acne and red areas. When it sets it is matte and smooth. It’s a very light feeling foundation, I forget I have it on when I wear it. I can say this makes my skin look bright and even. I like this foundation and will definitely use up the bottle. Even though it’s a tad darker than my skin I am able to blend it out to look even. If they got in a lighter shade I would definitely buy it.

I was lucky and Influenster sent me the Dessange Paris California Blond VoxBox! I received the California Blonde Brass Color Correcting Crème, California Blonde Illuminating Shampoo and California Blonde Illuminating Conditioner. Let me start off by saying I dye my hair pink but I leave a couple of areas of my hair blonde/white so I was happy to receive these. Even though these are for blonde hair they don’t make my pink fade any faster.

I will start off with the California Blonde Brass Color Correcting Crème. The last couple of times I bleached my hair it didn’t get as white as I’d like. There was still a little yellow to it. Not a lot but more than I wanted. I like this correcting creme because it gets rid of that last little hint of yellow for me and makes it look whiter. It’s also really conditioning on my damaged hair, which I wasn’t really expecting. I can use it as a conditioner on its own or I can use it with other conditioners. It really stands up well on its own on my hair. My hair feels soft after using it and the blonde areas of my hair look white and great. I really like the scent as well. It’s floral but not a sickeningly sweet floral and the scent stays in my hair but it’s not overpowering.

The California Blonde Illuminating Shampoo is pretty awesome. It smells wonderful. It has almost the same scent as the correcting creme, but it’s a little more flowery. I don’t normally like floral scents in hair products because they smell too sweet or old lady for me, but this smells sort of exotic and so pretty. I have used this shampoo on its own and with the conditioner that goes with it. Just on its own this leaves my hair feeling a little more soft and shiny than it usually is. I normally can’t use shampoo a lone, ever. My hair is too damaged from past bleaching and without conditioner it’s a hot, frizzy mess. It cleanses well and doesn’t appear to leave any hair spray residue or anything in my hair. Overall I really like this shampoo. It smells good and works well on my poor hair.

The California Blonde Illuminating Conditioner is awesooooomeeee. It smells just like the shampoo. A pretty floral that smells exotic and yummy. This stuff is super great on my poor damaged hair. It leaves it soft and shiny and smooth. My hair naturally is wavy with some random curls. With the damage my hair isn’t so wavy anymore, it’s just frizzy and dry and ew. This for whatever reason makes my hair more wavy/curly. It’s pretty awesome. This makes my hair so much more manageable and I haven’t had to use any argan oil or other serums with it. Score!

Overall this collection is great. I don’t know if I’ll buy the Color Correcting Creme again. I don’t really use them often. If I were to need one in the future I’d most likely go with this brand, but I probably won’t be really needing it in the future. I will be continuing the shampoo and conditioner though. They work really well on my hair and they smell SO good. The price isn’t too bad and they are sold at Target which is a plus cause you know Target is my favorite store! >.> hehe Anyways I am impressed with these and I kind of want to try the Illuminating Elixir too. We’ll see. Dessange Paris also has some other hair products at Target that I want to go take a look at. I’m wondering if they smell as good as these.

P.S. Pay no attention to my horribly grown out roots. d= They shall be bleached next month hopefully.

Reese’s Spreads Peanut Butter Chocolate Spread is rich, delicious Reese’s Peanut Butter and chocolate in a creamy spread to be used in many ways such as spreading on bread, fruits, wafer cookies, pretzels and crackers. Fine pieces of peanutsdeliver the favorite flavor and texture of the peanut butter centers of the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

  • Transform a snack into a treat
  • The product contains the same exact peanut butter centers that make up the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
  • Perfect for sharing with your family
  • Kosher

Where to buy
From Walmart – 13 ounces for $3.38 USD.

Packaging
The Reese’s Spread comes in a clear plastic jar with a an orange screw on lid. The label has product and company information on it and is orange with black, white and yellow details.

Scent and formula
It smells like peanut butter and chocolate, like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. It’s very gritty and waxy feeling and thick. It is brown in color.

Ingredients
Sugar, Peanuts, Vegetable Oil (Sunflower And Palm Oil), Dextrose, Nonfat Milk, Contains 2% Or Less of: Cocoa Processed With Alkali, Cocoa, Salt, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (Palm And Canola Oil), Soy Lecithin, Natural Vanilla Flavor, Tbhq (Preservative), Citric Acid. Allergen Information Statement: Contains Peanuts. Manufactured On The Same Equipment That Processes Almonds And Hazelnuts.

I really, really wanted to like this. I do like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups so I thought this would be fantastic. Unfortunately I don’t like it. It gave me a stomach ache both times I tried it. It does taste very similar to Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, but it’s very, very, very sweet and it feels waxy. It’s also extremely gritty. The texture is not like crushed peanuts, it’s just gritty and weird. Fumiko didn’t like it either, but Sascha however likes it. So he’s been eating it. He likes it on toast and waffles. I’m glad that it won’t go to waste. But this isn’t for me!

Hello lovelies! So my very first VoxBox from Influenster was the #MamaVoxBox. In it contained shoe insoles from the gods. Seriously. I’ve tried insoles before. I’d actually tried some from Dr. Scholl’s years ago and hated them. The For Her Comfort Insoles however, are amazing, and I love them. They’re made to absorb shock and impact on your heals and the ball of your foot. They work like magic. I wear them in my favorite flats and they are so comfy. It’s almost like a foot massage. These are awesome because the insoles don’t go down to the tip of your shoes it stops after the pad of your foot. I really like this because insoles that go to the tip of my toes annoy me. I constantly wiggle my toes against them because it feels funny. xd To use these you just peel off the clear thing on the back of the insoles and stick them in your shoes. Voila! Magic! <3

After wearing my flats, or shoes in general the bottoms of my feet start to ache, especially the ball of my foot. These? These are heaven to walk on. They feel cushy and cool and awesome. The ball of my foot no longer hurts after taking Fumiko to her school bus stop. It actually makes me want to wear my shoes all the time. If I could I’d glue these babies to my feet. xd I’ve taken pictures of the insoles themselves as well as them in my shoes so you can see what they look like. Be jealous of my now super comfy flats. Bwahahahaha

Pictures! Yay!

In short, I love these, I am going to buy a pair for the other pair of flats I own, possibly for my tennis shoes. I only own 4 pairs of shoes people. >.> Two pairs of flats, my tennis shoes and a pair of fake uggs. Blasphemy I know. Anyways. These are super comfy and they’re inexpensive. Drugstore.com has them on sale for $9.99, normally $10.99 and Amazon has them for around $7.99. Seriously, buy them. You won’t regret it.

So this was my first box from Influenster. :d It was really nice to be able to try some new products. I’ll be reviewing an Annie’s White Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese, Pond’s Luminous Finish BB+ in Light and Medium, and the yummy belVita breakfast bar. Let’s get started lovelies!

belVita Soft Baked Mixed Berry Breakfast Bar – OMG This was delicious. It’s really hard for me to find a snack or breakfast bar that I like. They’re usually too sweet or too hard or too something. These however are soft, chewy, moist and delicious. It wasn’t overly sweet at all and was easy for my poor mouth to chew. I wish they had more flavors though. :( They have the Mixed Berry and Oats and Chocolate. I not liking chocolate much have not tried the latter of the flavors. So I will savor my yummy Mixed Berry bars and hope that some day they add some more flavors. ^.^ These are definitely worth a try.

Ingredients: Whole grain blend (rolled oats, rye flakes), enriched flour [wheat flour, reduced iron, niacin, thiamin mononitrate (vitamin b1), riboflavin (vitamin b2), folic acid], canola oil, invert sugar, inulin, sugar, raisin paste, glycerin, dried cranberries, cornstarch, dried blueberries, baking soda, soy lecithin, salt, dried raspberries, natural flavor, grape juice concentrate, ferric orthophosphate (iron), niacinamide, blueberry juice concentrate, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin b6), riboflavin (vitamin b2), thiamin mononitrate (vitamin b1). Contains: wheat, soy. Manufactured on equipment that processes peanut, tree nuts. VEGAN
line

Annie’s White Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese – This was an interesting try. When you first open the cup you see the cheese packet and dry noodles covered in dust. To cook it you have to add water to the fill line inside the cup and microwave it for 2 minutes on high. What you pull out of the microwave is slightly creepy. The noodles are cooked and sitting in a cup of goo. Think of it as aloe vera gel only more jelly like and thick. Then you stir the sauce packet into the goo and let it sit for a couple of minutes. I have to say I did not enjoy this particular macaroni & cheese. The texture of the goo was something I couldn’t handle and it had an odd flavor. It didn’t taste like macaroni & cheese and was rather bland. :( I was hoping it would be yummy, but sadly it wasn’t.

Ingredients: Organic Wheat Macaroni (Organic Wheat Flour), Tapioca Starch, Cheddar Cheese (Cultured Pasteurized Milk, Salt, Non-Animal Enzymes), Corn Starch, Nonfat Dry Milk, Organic Coconut Oil, Whey, Butter, Salt, Potassium Chloride, Cultured Whole Milk, Sunflower Lecithin, Sodium Phosphate, Silicon Dioxide For Anticaking. Contains milk, wheat, and coconut ingredients. Made on shared equipment that also processes egg and soy. NOT VEGAN
line

Pond’s Luminous Finish BB+ Cream Light & Medium – I was really excited to try this since I currently use an asian bb cream and love it. Sadly this product didn’t work for me. Both shades were extremely dark on me. The bb creams felt thick on my skin, like I had a mask on. It just didn’t *feel* like a bb cream to me. It was more of a thick tinted moisturizer. The smell is fresh and not overpowering like some other bb creams can be. Unfortunately I’ll be sticking to my asian bb creams this time.
