So this is kind of a FOTD and swatch/comparison all in one. I have the Dr. Pickles Miraculous Beauty Dusts from My Pretty Zombie for you. I always use the mint shade, mostly because my face likes be red all the time and it helps neutralize the redness a lot. The violet is used for neutralizing yellow in the skin. Anyways, off to the photos.

I don’t know if you can really see much of a difference in the photos. I started a new skin routine using asian skincare products and it’s drastically reduced the redness in my face. But the green powder now totally neutralizes any red in my face, before I started using the asian skin care products it did a pretty god job, but you could still tell I was a little red. I don’t really use the violet because it just sort of enhances the redness a little, which I don’t want. xd I love the green powder though. It leaves no green cast on your face and it helps keep my face from getting oily super fast. The powder itself is very fine and silky. My cheeks tend to always stay dry and this doesn’t enhance that, or make them more dry or flaky. I definitely recommend trying it. At least get a sample to try. I am very happy with it!

ORION: So first let’s take a look at Orion the velvet cream eyeshadow base. I received a single pan. !’m so glad Joyce sent the velvet cream eyeshadow base in a baggie. It had an accident during it’s arrival and got all over, whoops! I however was able to save it! Orion is a lovely matte dark brown. It’s more solid than soft and yet has a lovely creamy consistency. It’s neither too wet, or too dry. It was very easy to apply with an eyeshadow brush. You can also apply it with your ring finger, but beware, it’s difficult to wash off. Which is a good thing on your eyeballs. xd A little bit goes a long way and it goes on very opaque. It “dries” down to a soft powdery consistency but holds shadow very well which I like. I’ve tried other bases that feel wet and sticky after application and this does not. After applying it, you just pat your shadow on. I did not try this with glitter as I don’t really use glitter. Overall I was very happy with this product.

Ingredients: Mica, Sericite Mica, Calcium Carbonate, Zinc Stearate, Kaolin Clay, Silicon Dioxide, Allantoin, Glycerin, Carnauba Wax, Dimethicone, Vitamin E Oil, Coconut Oil. VEGAN

AQUARII: Next up is Aquarii from the Starlight collection. I received a single pan. It’s a beautiful shimery dusty/dark aqua with green glitter. While this shadow is absolutely gorgeous, I had a bit of trouble applying it. I was able to use my finger and get a beautiful application, however using a brush was much more difficult. It was hard to get any of the shade on my brush, and it wanted to apply patchy. The formula was a little dry and hard. I’ve been meaning to ask Joyce about it, but I keep forgetting. The other pressed shadow I have has an amazing formula, so perhaps it was just a batch thing, or perhaps it’s just the way this particular shadow is. Either way, it is beautiful and it is completely possible to build up a nice opaque layer. I talked with Joyce and she thinks she sent me a pan with the earlier formula that she has since re-worked. She’s going to send me a pan of the new version, so I will let you know how that goes!

Ingredients: Mica, Sericite Mica, Calcium Carbonate, Zinc Stearate, Kaolin Clay, Silicon Dioxide, Cosmetic Glitter, Allantoin, Isopropyl Myristate, Dimeticone, Bis-Vinyl Dimethicone/Dimethicone Copolymer, Glycerin, Carnauba Wax, Vitamin E Oil, Coconut Oil. VEGAN

PYXIS: Pyxis is a pressed shadow from the Dark Days collection. I received a pan in a pot. It’s a shimmery pink/lilac/peachy shade. It’s absolutely gorgeous and my favorite of the shadows I received. It is a shear formula but can be built up into something more opaque. This formula unlike Aquarii is super soft and buttery and it goes on with ease with a brush. It’s literally like applying velvet to your eyeballs. It may just be my crazy brain, but I swear at different angles it changes from pink to peach to a dusty lilac shade. It’s a perfect highlight shade for me, but it also looks beautiful all over the lid. Love. <3

VELA: Vela is a loose shadow from the Rome collection. I received loose shadow in a standard size jar. Vela is a red-toned brown with a bright green shift. While I’m not a huge brown person, this shade is lovely. The loose shadows are a bit different from most loose shadows. While most are a powder, these have more of a dense cream consistency, but aren’t quite a cream. You’ll find that the loose shadows are in little creamy balls rather than a powder. If I recall correctly the loose shadows are filled by weight You’ll find that the jars are half full because the formula is heavier and more compact than a normal powder. Vela was super easy to apply, it was soft and creamy and blended very well. I was able to get good coverage patting it on and didn’t lose any of the pretty blending it out.

Ingredients: Mica, Sericite Mica, Calcium Carbonate, Zinc Stearate, Kaolin Clay, Silicon Dioxide, Allantoin, Glycerin, Carnauba Wax, Dimethicone, Vitamin E Oil, Coconut Oil. VEGAN

LUX: Last but not least we have Lux from the Colossus collection. I received loose shadow in a standard size jar. Lux is one of those shades that looks a little dull in the jar but comes alive when you apply it. Photos do it no justice. This shade is a little hard for me to describe. It’s described as a taupe but it’s more of a deepchocolatetaupebrownwithflashesofburgundycopperyredprettyness. It’s really pretty, that’s what it is. I need to try the pressed version. >.> I was really surprised by how much I liked this color. It has the same buttery soft formula of awesome that Vela does. Have I mentioned that I really like her loose formula? No? I do. This makes a gorgeous crease/outer corner shadow. It’s just. Ugh. Smokey and pretty. Just go buy it okay?

Ingredients: Mica, Sericite Mica, Calcium Carbonate, Zinc Stearate, Kaolin Clay, Silicon Dioxide, Allantoin, Glycerin, Carnauba Wax, Dimethicone, Vitamin E Oil, Coconut Oil. VEGAN
