I is the proud owner of a new phone!

Also new photography forum for girls with cameras: SXVVY – Savvy Exchange! So go join and post and be happy! So I love my new phone. It’s actually fun. I’ve decided to go on a cleanse. Once I’m done with that I shall start back up on the Hydroxycut Max. Tomorrow is Kai’s day off. So we’re barbecuing hot dogs and sausages and yummy goodness. The following day I start with my cleanse, for who knows how long. We shall see.

Kai was officially promoted to manager! *squee* He’s also getting a $3.00 raise plus extra commissions. Thank goodness. He should be at his own store by the end of the month. I’m so glad. Once our benefits start I can get new glasses/contacts and have a vision test done on Sascha to check his tracking. Hopefully before he starts school even. Speaking of which. I picked Sascha up some school shorts the other day, as well as a hoodie and a bag. My dad and Jeannie are sending up school clothes so I wanted to wait before I got him anything else because I’m not sure what they’re sending. Target was having lots of clearances so I couldn’t help but grab the shorts and hoodie. I also grabbed him a shirt that says “I worship the ground you walk on”. I thought it was cute.

My mom bought a tv at Goodwill today. So we had to stop and pick that up after getting Kai from work. It was freaking huge and heavy. I seriously thought they were going to need a tv lift cabinet to get that tv out of the durango. I don’t know how they managed. I didn’t even want to watch. I’m just glad they got it in.

I have so many photos to re size and upload. It isn’t even funny. I’m going to try to get to them tomorrow amongst everything else.

So I’ve been growing exceedingly frustrated with my current camera: Kodak Z740. I’ve had it for a few years now. It seems like in the past year it’s been slowly breaking. Out of let’s say two hundred fifty photos I have maybe ten decent photos. When I first got it I had more like two hundred decent photos. Over the past year the images have been getting horribly blurry, the colour has been doing funny things, I’ve been getting weird red/blue lines, and the settings aren’t working properly. My flash seems like it’s going out as well. I can take the same photo five times and have five drastically different photos. One will come out practically completely white, another will be so dark you can’t see any thing and then a couple will be too dark or too light. It’s just weird. And it’s slowly getting worse.

I’ve missed so many great shots of Sascha and Fumiko because of it, and it’s depressing. You can’t re-capture a memory. So I’ve been looking at cameras lately. Desperately hoping we’ll have enough left over from our stimulus check, IF we get our stimulus check, to get a camera. I’ve pretty much decided I want to go with the Nikon D60. I wanted the D40x, but they’ve replaced it with the D60, and that’s fine. I’ve been going over reviews on it, reviewing photos taken with it, talking to people with Nikon cameras. I really think it’s the one I want. One of the big reasons is because, thanks to Miss Stacey I want the D300. If I get the D60 and learn it I won’t have any difficulties in using the D300, one day, when I can afford it, or a similar camera to it.

But yes. My dream is to have my own studio, and be able to do this as more than just a hobby. And gosh darn it I want to stop being upset because I’m missing capturing memories of my babies. So here’s to hoping we get our check soon and have enough left over to get it. It’s around $600.00-$800.00 depending on where you go.

Also for any of you out there with Nikon dslr’s if you have any input or comments, feel free to leave a comment. I welcome any input about the camera.
