Where to buy
From [re] fresh – You get a 1 fluid ounce bottle for $34.95 USD.
From Amazon – You get a 1 fluid ounce bottle for $34.95 USD.

NOTE: For the first time using our product, we strongly recommend leaving the peel on your skin for only 1 minute. This is so you can see how your skin reacts, especially for sensitive skin types. If there is no adverse reaction after 48 hours, use peel normally per the instructions below.

We recommend doing peels in the evening, which allows your skin to repair itself overnight and for any redness to subside.

Step 1: Cleanse skin normally. Follow with an alcohol-based toner or rubbing alcohol (this removes any last traces of oil and makeup, allowing the peel to penetrate the upper layers of skin and do its job). But if you don’t have a toner handy, it’s ok – it’ll still work.

Step 2: Apply peel using finger tips. 1 to 1.5 droppers full should cover your face. Avoid eye area.

OPTIONAL As you become used to using this products and are comfortable with its effects on your skin, you may allow the first layer to dry (1-3 minutes) and apply a second layer of the Fruit Acid Peel for increased exfoliation.

Step 3: Let peel sit for 3-5 minutes, but no more than 10 minutes. Rinse with plenty of cool water. You may want to lightly cleanse skin with your favorite gentle cleanser to remove any last traces of the peel, but it’s not required.

If skin is very red and irritated, add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to cool water and rinse face. It’s not required, but it feels nice!

Step 4: Pat gently dry, apply Restore Hyaluronic Moisturizing Cream.

Step 5: Use sunscreen daily while using this product.

Recommended for use 1-3 times per week.

Skin will be smoother and brighter after first application. After 4-6 weeks skin will have improved tone, diminished fine lines and pigmentation, scars will be less noticeable.

NOTE: Many people will not actually have visible sheets of skin peeling off (like after a sunburn), but merely experience redness and tingling/burning. It does not mean it didn’t “work”, that is normal.

The bottle comes in a cardboard box with company and product information on it. The Peel comes in a glass cobalt blue bottle with a white dropper top that has a clear glass dropper. The label has product and company information on it.

Scent and formula
It’s a clear thing gel that smells very slightly vinegar-y and acid-y. It feels sticky on the skin.

Purified Water, Natural Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (Glycolic, Lactic & Pyruvic Acids), Kojic Acid, Xanthan Gum.

I’ve been using this a couple of times a week for a few weeks now. This brightens my skin and tightens my pores, it makes my skin super smooth and soft and supple after using it. My acne scars(I get new ones frequently. ugh) appear to be lighter. I also noticed that for a couple of days after I use this my forehead and nose don’t get as oily. It doesn’t make my skin burn like some other peels have and it doesn’t make my skin super red after using it. It makes my skin a little tingly. I like it a lot and will continue using it. :) This has a pH of 2. They have a Rose Glow cleanser that has a pH of 6 that I want to try really bad. I really like this peel and I’ll be picking it up again when I’m able!

Where to buy
From Amazon – It’s normally $29.99 USD, but right now it’s only $14.99 USD for 1 fluid ounce.

Skin Patch Test: IMPROPER USE OF CHEMICAL PEELS CAN CAUSE SEVERE BURNS, PLEASE BE CAREFUL! Always test on a small patch of skin before applying.

Sunburn Alert: Peels can increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterward.

Step 1: Cleanse the face, neck, and gently pat dry.

Step 2: Apply a small amount with a brush or cotton ball to the area and leave on as needed. Rinse product with water and pat dry after. Leave on for 1 minute for your first peel and slowly increase the time of each peel afterwards by 1-2 minutes as needed. General recommended time is 1-2 weeks between each peel. Your skin may be pink and sensitive for a few days after a peel. Please keep in mind, these are general guidelines, and everyone’s skin is different. Peel times vary from person to person, which can only be learned through experience and patience to avoid any burns. Skin patch tests are the most accurate method and minimize risk.

Keep the peel at least a quarter of an inch away from the eyes and mucus membranes.
If skin irritation occurs remove the product by neutralizing with cool water immediately and consult a physician.
Do not apply the peel more than once in a 7 day period
Do not expose your face to the sun for 24 hours before or after the application of the peel.
Do not apply the peel to the skin that has been waxed or shaved within 24 hours
When using the peel a stinging sensation may occur, this is normal

I received a clear frosted glass bottle with a clear glass dropper. The dropper lid is white with a silver rim. The bottle has a silver label on it with the company and product name, ingredients and address.

Scent and formula
It’s a slightly thick clear liquid. It smells… I can’t place the smell. It’s familiar. It smells acidy if that makes sense, like you’d expect it to make your nose hairs sizzle. It doesn’t by the way. xd It doesn’t smell bad, I almost kind of like the smell. It’s odd. OMG WHAT IS THIS SMELL. Now it’s bugging me. lol

Lactic acid, purified water, sodium carboxylmethylcellulose and propylene glycol.

This was my first time using a Lactic Acid peel and it was really interesting! I have only use one other type of acid peel before and it was a combination of acids. So when I got this I was excited to try it. I’ve used this a few times since I received it. I meant to do one this week and take photos, but I got sick and then ended up with a cold sore. Ugh. So not this time!

What is Lactic Acid supposed to do?

  • Exfoliating the surface of your skin
  • Deep cleaning pores
  • Fading dark marks
  • Improving hyperpigmentation
  • Evening out skin tone
  • Brightening and lightening skin
  • Improving the appearance of light wrinkles
  • Stimulating natural collagen production

Each time I’ve used it I only left it on for 1 minute. This stung and tingled and it turned my face red. Once I rinsed it off the sensations went away after a few minutes. The redness lasted a couple of days with each use. I don’t have any visible wrinkles or fine lines or sun spots. So I can’t tell you how it works on that, but what I have noticed since I started using it is that my skin is smoother and my pores aren’t as visible, especially the first few days after I’ve used it. It has also helped lighten the darker areas around my mouth and nose a little. When I did the text on my hand in the photo and rinsed it off you could see how my hand was visibly lighter where the peel had been after a couple of minutes. I totally spaced and didn’t take a picture of that though. Sorry. d= I will update this post later when my cold sore is gone with before and after photos! Stupid cold sores. Overall I really liked the results of using this. The redness and stinging are a little annoying but that’s pretty common with this type of product so it just comes with the territory. It does a really good job of evening my skin tone and making it smooth and reducing the appearance of my pores. My skin glows and is so smooth after using it. The smell is odd but easy to deal with. It’s strong but not overpowering to me! I am hoping Dr Song comes out with a mandelic acid peel! I would be all over that! Hint, hint! This is a lovely product and I would take advantage of the sale going on right now if you plan on picking it up!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.tomoson
