Mmmm pumpkin cookie

Recipe: Pumpkin Cookies

This is one of Kharizma’s recipes! These are so delicious.  I usually leave out the chocolate chips and add chopped walnuts instead. This time I left out the nuts too. Fumiko was going to take them to school for a snack and some kids have nut allergies. So here are cookies a kiddo and a cat. XD

FOTD Oogie Tats Banshee Scream Wei Wei

Hey look. Face again! Uggghhh. I woke up with an awful stomach ache today. It hurts a lot more than usual. I wonder if it’s from the antibiotic or something else. I am also a lot more tired today. Fumiko has therapy today. So into Portland we go! Must leave in a few minutes to get her from school. Hopefully I can get some lemon juice and yogurt on the way home and maybe some vegetables to roast tonight. Also I need to bleach my roots again. D:

Hey there sexy. *witchy eyes*

FOTD Fabulous Celestial Crow Crash

So. I don’t even know today. XD Between the ginormous 50 pound zits on my chin and my flawless lipstick application and the faces… I don’t know. BUT last night I was able to slip my 22mm plugs in. Woot! So close to my goal of 25mm. Dead stretching all the waaaaaay. My antibiotic is all like HAY BODY WAT’S UP IMA MAKE YOU PAY. My skin is like in a state of panic. Hopefully it clears up quick when I’m done with it. Anyways. I put my face on today. I was rather proud of my brows. Also the glasses I am wearing will be up in a review soon. Soon. Also I have another pair that I have to review. MAH FACE. God I don’t know what’s wrong with me today. Maybe it’s the lack of sleep. I don’t know. Probably. Because of sick I was awake for 3 days, then I sleep for like 6 hours and that was the other day. I didn’t sleep last night. I’m not sure if I slept the night before. Did I take my medication? So I meant to use Sexy Nerd, but apparently grabbed Less Thank Three and didn’t realize until I was slathering it all over my lips. At that point I said fuck it and went with it. Okay. I’m gonna go eat some stew. With blueberries. THAT’S RIGHT. BLUEBERRIES.

The Autumn Tag 2014

I stole this from Makeup Pixi3. :)

1. Ok we’re talking coffee’s – what’s your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?
Okay my most favorite coffee is available year round. It’s the Caramel Blondie from Black Rock Coffee Bar. It’s SO good. I like it hot and cold. The sugar free version is amazing and doesn’t taste sugarfree. I haven’t had one in awhile, now I want one.

2. Accessories – what do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?
I like boots and scarves and mittens. Gloves and I don’t get along. The webbing between my fingers gets itchy and irritated. :( The kids want me to make them scarves! I made Fumiko’s hat already. I need to finish Sascha’s. Then I can start on the scarves. My autumn will be very sad and bootless this year. The only shoes that made it here are my Iron Fist Flats and a pair of black flip flops. Let’s hope it doesn’t rain much… or snow!

3. Music – what’s your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?
Tori Amos, Imogen Heap, Bitter:Sweet, Adele, Joydrop, Red Delicious, Norah Jones and Emiliana Torrini come to mind.

4. Perfume – what’s your favourite scent for this time of year?
I Smell Like a Witch, Green Lady and Burning Times from OHWTO, Cloudswing, Big Top Train, Wither, Monstre Delicat, Inked, Mare Desiderii and Mordetreile Kelah from Darling Clandestine, Fear of Cemeteries from Cocoa Pink, Lace Draped Spectre from Solstice Scents and Carnivale from 13 Gypsies. They all smell awesome.

5. Candles – what scents will you be burning this season?
I don’t do candles often, but Dragon’s Blood incense by Gonesh will be burning! If I were to burn candles, or wax tarts it would be apple and pumpkin scents though. Mmmhmmm.

6. What do you love most about Autumn?
I love… everything. The scent, the fresh crisp cool air, the autumn vegetables, apple cider, boots and scarves, the pumpkin patch, apple and pumpkin pie! I love it all. I wish it were Autumn all year round.

7. Favourite makeup look?
I don’t have a favorite look for Autumn. I always just do what I do!

8. What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
Honestly? The pumpkin patch with my kids and hot coffee with my best friend Kharizma. That would make my year.

Comment and gimme your answers! I’d love to know what you all think of Autumn. :D

Review: Glamour Doll Eyes Glitter Fix

press sample affiliate links

Warning, warning! This post is photo intensive. XD I got carried away testing the eyeshadows with this. Vee from Glamour Doll Eyes sent me some Glitter Fix to try out. I was really excited about it when she first mentioned working on it! Bam! Glitter, bitches! Now that that’s out of my system, please enjoy this review. :3

Official description
Glitter Fix can be used to adhere your glitter, make your sparkles stand out more and last all day. This really intensifies the look of any sparkles.

Where to buy
From Glamour Doll Eyes – $6.25 USD for a 10ml tube with doefoot applicator.

Direction
After you apply your primer, add some Glitter Fix over the top. You can use your finger or the wand. Pat it in just a little and wait until it is nearly dry. Apply your shadows/glitter as normal. Be sure not to apply it when it is too wet or your shadows will look patchy.

You can also apply it on top of your eye shadow to adhere glitter or extra sparkle. Put some on your finger and lightly pat it over your shadows. Wait until it is almost dry and then tap on your glitter/sparkles/eye shadow and watch it gleam!

Packaging
This comes in a clear tube with a gray lid. Doefoot applicator and wand are white. The label is very attractive and features an illustration of a girl, the name of the product, company name, website and ingredients list.

Scent and formula
This has a clean scent reminiscent of creams and gels you’d get from the doctor. You can only smell it faintly if you sniff it. XD It’s a slightly thick cloudy, white gel formula.

Ingredients
Water, Glycerin (Vegetable), Polysorbate 20, Xanthan Gum, Tocopheryl Acetate, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol.

I used 4 different sparkly eyeshadows for this! I used Celestial Crash from Glamour Doll Eyes, Corcra from Backstreets Makeup Co. and Unicorn Pee and Goth Mary Poppins from My Pretty Zombie.

Celestial Crash is a light lavendar (but shows up darker with more pressure) with a pink, gold, blue, purple and gold sparkle.
Corcra is a beautiful bright purple with shimmery eye-catching pink/purple shimmer.
Unicorn Pee is an iridescent white blue with enough multi colored glitter to make you puke!
Goth Mary Poppins is a blackened Purple Blue…color changes depending on the type of light you’re in.

Side note, Vee approached me about doing a custom color for a collection she is releasing in January 2015, thus Celestial Crash was born! So I chose some of my most sparkly shadows that really need a glitter adhesive to shine. As you can see from the photos the Glitter Fix does an amazing job bringing out the gorgeous glitter in these. Unicorn Pee was really freaking hard for me to capture. Over plain primer it’s very sheer and most of the glitter falls off, however over the Glitter Fix it became more opaque and there was hardly any glitter fallout and holy cow it was glorious! Goth Mary Poppins doesn’t have glitter in it, but it has a massive amount of sparks. You can see in the photos the Glitter Fix does enhance it a little, but not much more than the primer. The glitter in Corcra was fantastically gorgeous over the Glitter Fix. Celestial Crash also glowed more so over the Glitter Fix than the primer. The Glitter Fix does a fantastic job of preventing glitter fallout and really enhancing the shadows that are applied over it. I am very happy with it! I haven’t yet compared it to other glitter adhesives, but that is a future post I’ll be working on! The only iffy thing I about this is that sometimes when closing the lid some of the gel will gloop out. I talked to Vee though and she let me know that mine is from the first batch and she filled it a little full. She knows exactly where to fill them to now!

Summary

Pros
Inexpensive

Final thoughts
This product is fantastic. It's easy to work with and works over different finishes. It could be a great alternative to Fyrinnae's Glitter Glue which can be a pain over matte shadows.

Buy or not
Yes! I will be purchasing this when I run out.
