Potty Training is So Much Fun!

Okay I lied. :P Fumiko is at the stage where she hates diapers. She wants to wear her panties. But, she is still wetting her diaper and more importantly going poo in it. She goes potty every time I set her on the potty, but she’ll also go in between. She only asks to go part of the time so far. But going poo in the potty doesn’t happen. I’m not sure how to get her to want to? I’ve gone so far as to actually dump the poo from her diaper into the toilet with her watching and tell her that it goes in the potty.
Then she does a happy dance and waves and says “bye bye boo boo” when I flush it. I guess when she’s ready she will.

But, I just wish she’d stop taking off her diapers. T.T She’s been doing it when I put her down for a nap and at night when it’s time to go to bed. Today during her nap she apparently woke up took it off and went back to sleep. When I went to get her up I found her sleeping in a puddle. So off to the wash goes her blankets, sheet, mattress cover and owl pillow. If only it were a rare occurrence. But no. We wash her bedding frequently. I always try to praise her and tell her how good she is for leaving her diaper on when she wakes up and has left it on. But I don’t think she gets it. Or maybe she thinks I don’t get it! haha Putting her Hello Kitty panties on over her diaper doesn’t work for her either. She wants them on instead. I know she doesn’t like the feeling of a soiled diaper. Because as soon as she does pee in it she’s ripping it off or heading off to the potty.

Argh. Any suggestions? Sascha didn’t potty train until after he was 3. With him it was pretty easy. Right off the bat he started going to the bathroom in the potty and didn’t wet himself too much. I don’t recall him ever going poo either. He just had no interest in potty training until well after he was 3. She’s been wanting to since she was about 1 and a half. But really started with wanting to not wear a diaper the past couple of months.

Halp! ^.~

Hello There

So we’re back home. Glad to be home but at the same time we wish we were still in California. :( We had a really nice time. We got to see family and friends. We stayed with my dad and step mom until Thanksgiving day, then we drove to Vallejo dropped our stuff off at Jamie’s and then headed to Ken and Karen’s. We spent the rest of the trip visiting family and friends. We went to Apple Hill on Saturday. The kids had a lot of fun. I got my pumpkin fudge. Mmmm.

Fumiko and her great grandma Fumiko
Fumiko and her Great Grandma Fumiko. :D Sorry it’s blurry. I forgot my camera. >.<

We got to see Clan Tata too. We headed to Cliche’s house and played the new mario game on the Wii and then went out to dinner with Tieria/Kinon/Cliche/Bismol and Sam. :D Was awesome! Before we left we also visited Kinon at his apartment and ate yummy chinese food with Tieria/Sam/Bismol and Kinon, and then played a um board game. Also Fumiko broke one of Kinon’s plates. >.>

Lots of stuff happened and I need more time to type it all out. But we had lots of fun and miss everyone already. :( We has lots to do too. Must take a look at office furniture since Kai’s chair mysteriously broke while we were gone. o.O And some of our dishes mysteriously disappeared. Seriously. My mom has no idea what happened to them. Oh also friends of my mom took Kiyoshi and Eevee home and then some other friends took Puff. So we are pet less. :( We miss them, but they went to good homes.

Coming Soon!

A new post! >.> A long, long, long, long post shall be coming soon. Or multiple. Who knows. I’m not sure if I’ll do it before we head home or if I’ll do it after. We’re still in California, obviously. :p

We’ve had a nice time to far. We stayed with my dad and step mom for a few days and have been at Jamie’s since Thanksgiving day. We’ll be heading home Saturday the 5th so Kai can have a day to wind down before he heads back to work.

It’s been so nice here. The weather has been great and it’s been wonderful to see the families. I know Kai has really missed everyone and has so enjoyed seeing them after three years. But it’s time for a shower and bed. It’s late and I am tired. :)

Things Just Keep on Going

First off, why is Fumiko so… cranky today? Second, why does our wireless router hate me so much? :( I wanted to write a blog post last night and the stupid thing would not connect. For the life of me I spent two hours fiddling with it and resetting it and trying to make it work! Ugh. I ended up going to bed annoyed. -.- Anyways. Been a busy week. We had guests here for Sascha’s birthday for a week. Sascha’s dad David, and his wife Dianna flew in from Michigan to be here for his birthday. He had a blast I think. :P He got to go to the coast and visit the aquarium one of the days they were here. He got lots of goodies for his birthday. Tons of new Bakugan stuff, some clothes, a new Nintendo DS Lite, and a couple of games for it and some badass new Converse. Gray with gray skulls. They’re hot if I do say so myself. ;) I made potato salad and chocolate mousse cake with homemade whipped cream, and Kai did his barbecue and teriyaki chicken kebabs. Yum.

I ended up cleaning up his birthday mess Tuesday after I dropped David and Dianna off at the airport. Holy mess. Eep. Our anniversary is coming up on the 12th. Yay! Three years! Then shortly after that we’re heading to California for two weeks to see my dad and step mom and Kai’s family and some friends. Kai hasn’t seen his best friends in quite some time. So hopefully we can find time to meet up with them. :D Maybe? Seeing my dad and step mom will be bittersweet. They’re not doing well right now, both financially and health-wise. We’re really concerned that this might be the last time we see Jeannie. :(

Well, must make lunch and get back to Sascha’s schoolwork. Private post coming later hopefully.
