Thanksgiving was good

Thanksgiving went well. I cooked all day. But we had turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, parmesan asiago garlic mashed potatoes, pumpkin and apple pie and homemade whipped cream. Kharizma brought brussels sprouts and her lavender/ginger syrup. Yum. I only managed to hurt myself mildly! The worst of it was the burn on my finger from accidentally turning on the wrong burner. I turned the one under the glass pie plate on and didn’t realize then picked it up burned the crap out of my finger and then dropped it on the floor. For awhile I just had a brownish burn in the shape of a heart almost, then it turned into a giant blister. It remained a blister until Sushi lanced it the other night.

We’ve been living on leftovers and everything is gone except a tiny bit of turkey and some stuffing. Even Sushi has been eating some of the plain turkey with some oil all mixed into her dry food. Tonight though we shall have teriyaki panko breaded tilapia with rice and corn. Yum. It’s been kind of amusing reading all of the Black Friday stories. We were even told about a lady who was burned by some man. She apparently reached over his shoulder to pick something from a top shelf and he burned her with a butane lighter. The police who responded basically chastised her and couldn’t believe she would call them for such a trivial matter. Cause you know being burned by a crazy many isn’t scary or dangerous at all. You’d think she was trying to take his Prada handbags or something the way he reacted. People are crazy on Black Friday. o.O Glad I never go out.

Christmas is around the corner

Thanksgiving is like a week away and it’s already being pushed out for Christmas. It’s amazing. I kind of feel bad for all the people with a retail job. Black Friday is probably the worse shopping day ever. It’s psychotic. Glad I haven’t had to deal with that for awhile. I’m sure Kai is also glad that it’s not a huge day in his line of work. He’d probably shoot himself.

Speaking of Kai he gets 3 days off next week. He gets holiday pay for 1. hooray. I think I shall get off the laptop now and go back to sleep. Ugh.

Hello There

So we’re back home. Glad to be home but at the same time we wish we were still in California. :( We had a really nice time. We got to see family and friends. We stayed with my dad and step mom until Thanksgiving day, then we drove to Vallejo dropped our stuff off at Jamie’s and then headed to Ken and Karen’s. We spent the rest of the trip visiting family and friends. We went to Apple Hill on Saturday. The kids had a lot of fun. I got my pumpkin fudge. Mmmm.

Fumiko and her great grandma Fumiko
Fumiko and her Great Grandma Fumiko. :D Sorry it’s blurry. I forgot my camera. >.<

We got to see Clan Tata too. We headed to Cliche’s house and played the new mario game on the Wii and then went out to dinner with Tieria/Kinon/Cliche/Bismol and Sam. :D Was awesome! Before we left we also visited Kinon at his apartment and ate yummy chinese food with Tieria/Sam/Bismol and Kinon, and then played a um board game. Also Fumiko broke one of Kinon’s plates. >.>

Lots of stuff happened and I need more time to type it all out. But we had lots of fun and miss everyone already. :( We has lots to do too. Must take a look at office furniture since Kai’s chair mysteriously broke while we were gone. o.O And some of our dishes mysteriously disappeared. Seriously. My mom has no idea what happened to them. Oh also friends of my mom took Kiyoshi and Eevee home and then some other friends took Puff. So we are pet less. :( We miss them, but they went to good homes.

New Theme For Now

This shall do for now. I like this theme, a lot. Most of it. There are some changes I’d like to make, but that will have to wait until I can get all of my programs on another computer, or until we do something with mine. Some things are still erm broken? But I shall fix them soon.

So this morning we discovered that there’s a huge leak in our kitchen under the sink. Ugh, seriously? Whhyyy? What’s up with our issue with kitchen sinks? In out last apartment we had issues with the garbage disposal and a huge leak. Here? We had to replace the garbage disposal because it randomly died, and now? A huge leak. Grr. I’m not sure if it’s from the actual faucet, or from the dishwasher. I’m gonna have Kai look at it when he gets home. He works until 06:30pm today.

My mom took the kids and I out to breakfast/lunch at Denny’s. I got a club sandwich and some buffalo chicken strips which I didn’t eat much of. I ended up taking Kai three out of the four pieces of sandwich, and three of the five pieces of chicken, oh and a peach from Trader Joe’s. :) After lunch we stopped at Fred Meyer and Trader Joe’s. My mom had to pick some stuff up for her husband, so I grabbed a few things we needed. Like apple juice and fruit. Yum. Tonight I make homemade taco’s! Sascha should be thrilled, he calls them super taco’s! Sascha is already bugging me about costumes. Eep. He wasn’t too impressed with the costume’s at Fred Meyer, nor the ones he saw at Target the other day. We looked at some of the toddler ones for Fumiko, and either they were huge, or they were, well, ugly. :( I’ll probably end up finding one again on Etsy. I think I may see if I can find one for Sascha on there too. They have some pretty neat stuff.

While Sue was here and we were all sick my mom picked up some local raw honey from some people that live near her. It’s okay, it’s not my favourite. There is a lady who sells raw honey from Oregon on Etsy. I’d like to try hers and see how it is. So soon as we are almost out of our honey I shall contact her about her yummy honey. I must go change the bunny cage and the kitty’s litter box. Must restore peace to children… :zip:

She Lives?!

Barely… Haha. It seems I am allergic to penicillin. At least that’s what we think. My dentist gave me some because I need to get a root canal and they thought there might be some infection. I’ve been horribly sick since I started taking it. I’m starting to feel better, but not by much. It seems to vary. Here’s to hoping I feel better soon.

My mom had a heart attack recently. She was in the hospital for a few days. She’s recovering. Slowly, but recovering. They found out that her heart is severely enlarged, and so thick they’re surprised she hasn’t had a stroke yet. This is where the “I told you so!” comes in. I’ve been telling her for a couple of years now to take better care of herself and take her supplements. I hope now she will.

Here comes the biggie.

We’ve decided to move to California. Yes that’s right. Us moving depends on several factors. Mostly a place to live. Since Kai has no credit and I have bad credit(Thanks Mom) we’re waiting/hoping his Grandfather will have a place we can rent. He currently doesn’t have anything available. But we’re hoping. We wanted to move this summer, for various reasons I won’t go into now. But I don’t think that will be possible. So we’re hoping for next summer. Kai also has to find out if he can transfer to a GNC in/near Vallejo. He wants to wait until we know we have a place to live though. He’s going to start looking at other jobs beforehand as well to try to have something lined up in case things with GNC don’t work out. We both think it would be better for us and our kids to be by Kai’s family. We want them to know what it’s like to grow up with a close family which I’ve never had. He tells me it’s great. :P Over all it’s gonna be a huge change. We’d just gotten used to living here. We were also hoping to use our tax return for the move, however it looks like we’ll be owing more than we get back. :/ We need to take our taxes into someone to see if we did something wrong.

Overall, we’re okay, minor bumps along the road right now, but we’re okay. We’re going to be taking Sascha out of the Portland Waldorf School. We just can’t afford to pay his tuition. It breaks my heart, even Kai is not happy about it. But there isn’t anything we can do. We just can’t afford it. We’ll put him in home schooling for a year longer if needed. Until we know he’s ready to go to a regular school. Then we’ll see what happens. Hopefully in the future we can afford to send him back to a Waldorf school. It’s been so amazing for him.

A side note, we had to take out coffee table out to the garage… o_O A little f=Fumi-kitty jumped off of it… When Kai’s mom visited Fumiko discovered she could climb up on the couch. Well now she can climb up on anything. She’s fast too. Hai paranoia.

Anyways. I hope to start updating more frequently. Besides the fact that I need to start doing paid posts again I do miss blogging.
