Review: ES False Eyelashes #A562

Falsies!

KKCenterHk contacted me to try some of their products. I was hoping they’d send me false lashes and they did! I received two different styles, however I’m going to be talking about ES #A562 in this blog post. These are listed in the natural lashes category on the website, but are called glamour lashes. I personally think they’re more natural than glamour. These also have a transparent “stem” instead of the usual black. These run at $16 for 10 pairs of false eye lashes. That’s $1.60 a pair. That’s a great price. These are packaged in a long black box with gold dot stickers holding them in place. The back of the box has instructions on how to apply them in different languages. These are made in Korea.

I’ve gone through two pairs of these lashes since I got them the other week. I screwed up the first pair trimming them. Oops. Though they were still wearable and the lash glue cleaned off of the stem easily. The pair I wore today were much easier to put on and wear. Once I trimmed the stem down and put glue on them they were really easy to put on. Today was the first time I’ve successfully put on false lashes without having to do more than one attempt. YES. They’re comfy, they don’t feel funny on my lids and aren’t heavy. They’re long, but not too long, they don’t bump up against my eyeglass lens. That’s a huge plus. There’s not a whole lot to say. These are comfy, cheap, made well and I like them. They have tons, and tons of eye lash styles and carry other products as well. Take advantage of the code below and get some pretty new lashes. :D

Review: wetnwild I Dream of Greenie

Yay review!

Wetnwild sent me some items to review at the end of June including ColorIcon Trio in I Dream of Greenie #331. I’ve been a fan of wetnwild products since I was a little girl and I’m super glad to see that they’ve prospered over the years and still make great makeup, that costs very little. While I’m not a huge fan of green eyeshadow, I’m not really sure why, it’s just not something I go for most of the time when I’m looking for shadow, this trio is great. The colors are beautiful and pigmented and they applied great. I’ve found that once in awhile I’ll find a shade or two in a trio that just doesn’t want to budge, but these were all soft and went on really well.

I really like the browbone shade, it’s a beautiful green that is semi sheer and can be built up if needed, but it looks beautiful on the inner corner of the eye as well as below the brow. Overall all of the colors were soft and applied like a dream and the eyelid/crease shades were well pigmented. My only issue is with the brushes/sponges that they include. The brushes with these are often kind of mangled looking and loose their hairs. There is nothing per-say wrong with the sponges, I just don’t like them. I don’t like the way the shadows apply with them. So that’s my 2 cents on the brushes. Anyways! If you love green this is a great trio for you. These retail for $2.99 so you can’t beat the price!

Review: the POREfessional

My pores are in love! No really. It’s amazing. I’ve always had an issue with pores, especially on my nose. I’ve tried all sorts of products that claim to reduce and tighten and make pores magically disappear, but none have really worked all that well. The POREfessional from Benefit Cosmetics is amazing. It’s a flesh colored balm that reduces the appearance of pores and you can apply under or over your makeup. It claims to be oil-free, lightweight, translucent and silky. It’s all of the above. When I first applied it I thought it was going to be this heavy, goopy, mess of a concealer that in face looked too dark for my skin. However, once I blended it in, it matched my skin perfectly and my pores were dramatically reduced, and within 10-20 minutes I could barely see them. It truly is silky smooth as well, it doesn’t feel like you have anything on, and it’s easy to apply other foundation/bb cream/etc over it. I’ve had this on my face for 8+ hours and it hasn’t “melted” like many face products do on my nose/forehead because it gets so oily. In fact my nose seemed less oily at the end of the day than it usually is. I did a photo comparison of my nose since my pores are the worst there. In the photos you can see my nose with nothing on, freshly cleaned with witch hazel, just the POREfessional on, just skinfood’s Ginkgo BB cream on and then the bb cream over the POREfessional. I wish I’d remembered to take a photo a little bit later because the pores on my nose were even less visible. Oh well.

The POREfessional comes in a squeeze-tube and is 22mL or 0.75 US fl. oz. It doesn’t take much to cover problem areas as a little goes a long way. I’ll be stocking up on this as it’s an amazing product and has provided an easy fix for my pore issues.

  • » Where to buy: You can find the POREfessional at Benefit Cosmetics, or on eBay.
  • » Pricing: Price is $28 from Benefit Cosmetics. I paid $12 on eBay.
  • »»Product: 5/5 Product does what it claims exceptionally well.
  • »» Value: 4/5 Price is a little steep from retailer.
  • »» Ease of Use: 5/5 Extremely easy to apply.
  • »» Packaging: 5/5 Product packaging is sleek and looks good.

Oops

Holy cow I feel terrible. I completely missed posting a review that I should have posted several months ago. I had apparently saved it as a draft, I’m not sure why but it appears I hadn’t added an image to it so I probably needed to run an errand or do something for Fumiko. But I had completely forgotten that I had saved it as a draft and thought I posted it. I was going through my emails tonight to double check my reviews that I needed to post and found the email with no response. So I came to check thinking oh crap I forgot to email her and let her know I reviewed it. Only to find that holy crap I forgot to post my review. :( I am very embarrassed and very sorry and am going to go email her now explaining my stupidity and profoundly apologizing. I will totally understand if she wishes to not work with me for reviews anymore, but here’s to hoping she is extremely understanding!

Also on that note, I have a review to post for GoodVibrations and EdenFantasys! I’m hoping to have those up tomorrow, and then I will be all caught up!
