ALL Packed!

Sascha’s school books and computer that is! :) Kai packed up his computer and I packed up all of his books today. They’re all ready to be dropped off at UPS on Monday. Woot. Man. Sascha is leaving in 5ish days. :( I got teary eyed sending Russ/Dawn/Kharizma messages to come on the 11th. Bleh. Must hold it together until he is on the plane. He’s going to have so much fun though, and he’ll be with family who love him dearly. I know everything will be fine. He just won’t be here. But he’ll be home in a year, happy and in one piece. Hopefully. haha Now that his computer and books are packed up, and we only have 1 desktop computer I’m going to move my old desk into his room for him and turn Kai’s(which is now mine) around and put it against the wall by the window. Hopefully it’ll open up the front room a little. :)

I am making red curry beef stew for dinner. Nom, nom. Just waiting for Kai to go to the store and get me my coconut milk and fish sauce. I swear I had fish sauce, but it seems to have grown legs and walked away. Amazing, you’d think it would have grown fins and swam. Silly food. BTW: Dawn, Kharizma, Russ, if any of you want to bring a food dish for Sascha’s going away dinner, feel free. :) I guess I shall go get started on rearranging and such.

P.S. I want to dye part of my bangs pink,. What do you think? Here are some pictures from when I had a chunk of my bangs pink. And no I’m not dying my hair red. >.>

Should I dye ALL of my bangs pink, or just a chunk?

Boo Money

Well, Kai took the bus to work this morning, and shall be taking it to and from work for the next couple of weeks possibly longer. The tags on the car expired yesterday, we don’t have the money to do a smog check and get the tags. The insurance policy expires on the 16th. Apparently they gave my mom a 30 day grace period. Ugh. Hopefully we can find insurance cheap enough. :/ On a side note, Sascha is going out to Michigan for the summer. His grandparents(Sue and Tom) offered to pay for his trip out so he could attend a tutoring program at the university by them. I’m happy and excited for him, and so grateful to Sue and Tom. This will really help Sascha. :) Next school year he’s going into one of the local schools by us. So that’ll be an interesting change for him.

Another side note, so many people I know have laptops that are going to the way side. I keep seeing more and more people with netbooks to tide them over. They’re so tiny and cute. :)

Holy Moly Time is Flying!

Snacking on Triscuits and hummus, Sascha is in the shower, Fumiko is asleep, and dinner was a success! Yay! My mom and I had picked up some whole trout yesterday. T.T So Kai de-headed and de-boned them today. I made home made cranberry sauce for absolutely no reason. Kai likes it so I thought I would Plans though? Nope, none. So I pan cooked my trout fillets with some Old Bay seasoning on them and had a brilliant idea! Yes, the cranberry sauce! It was so good. Kai loved it. Like he actually told me it was really good. He never likes my fish unless it’s covered in panko, teriyaki sauce or tonkatsu sauce. I was surprised and delighted. Fumiko and Sascha liked it too! Also. Kai eats my cranberry sauce by the bowl… >.>

Sascha was watching something on tv today, and this lady told this little boy she was going to yank him up by the breeches if he didn’t do what she wanted. Sascha immediately turns to me and asks what breeches are. I had to explain it’s another word for pants. So now he’s saying he’s going to call his pants breeches from now on. lol Awesome. Also! Fumiko is off the bottle! Hooray! I ordered her a stainless steel sippy that’s bpa free. She loves it. :D She’s also consuming much more water. She never wanted to drink it in a bottle, and is waaaaay too sloppy for a real cup yet. I need to order another sippy in another colour when Kai gets paid. That way she has one for water and one for tea/juices. Sascha’s sprout program with his school should be available a few days after the 19th. His teacher says it should help him a lot with reading/spelling. So here’s to hoping. :) I know wants it clicks he won’t have any problems. He’s quick to learn when he likes something. He does super well with Math/Social Studies/Science. So I have confidence that once he learns to read/spell he’ll zoom right through.
